Criminal Background Check
Beginning April 4, 2018, in addition to the required national and state criminal history background check, as a condition of employment, individual applicants shall provide a letter, from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating the employee is clear to hire based on no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect found through a background check of child abuse and neglect records maintained by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

RE: NOTICE OF REQUIRED TRAINING
The required training for new and returning substitute employees will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Board of Education Building. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with training to begin at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 12:00 p.m.
Returning substitute employees must have submitted their signed letter accepting the substitute position by June 30, 2018.
Substitute teachers in the Education Professional Standards Board Emergency Substitute Certification Program must submit their Emergency Substitute Teaching Certificate issued by EPSB in order to be eligible to substitute teach.
Only those substitutes who attend training will be included on the initial substitute list for 2018-2019.
