Podcasting Part 3 - Incorporating Music and Pictures

Podcasting Part 3 - Integrating Music and Pictures from Chris Lacy on Vimeo.

Note: In one part of the video, I say that pictures have to put into iPhoto before they can be inserted to garageband. While iPhoto is a great resource to use, photos can be dropped directly from the desktop or safari.

Week of 10-17-11

Hey Everyone, First test of the second grading period is coming up this friday.
Just want to say that it was good to see everyone who came out to the parent teacher conference!

Since students are having to take the College Readiness Test Today we will be forgoing this week's ACT to compensate for that. Tomorrow students will be practicing some more work, power and efficiency problems, Thursday they will be doing the peanut lab, and Friday will be the test!

Friday's Test will be over the following material:
Types of Energy
Calculating Kinetic Energy
Calculating Potential Energy
Calculating Work
Calculating Power
Calculating Efficiency

Just a reminder that this problem set does NOT have a study guide online, but all the answers on are my podium in my room if students want to check their work before friday.

Hello Parents!

Hope to see you all out tonight at the parent teacher conference! Food SHOULD be provided!

Here's the agenda for this week:

MANIC assigned, due thursday

Tuesday:
Notes for Unit 2 on Energy. I love this chapter since there are so many interesting things to discuss
Problem Set 7 is assigned. Needs to be finished by Friday in preparation of the quiz

Problem Set 7 Formative Assessment Quiz
Continue Notes from Monday and continue work on problem set 7

Friday:

Week of 09-19-11

Link to This Week's Schedule (What the Students See Each Day)

Hey All! Here's the updates for this week!

Monday: Center of Gravity Lab. I love this lab, not only does it take patience, but students had to balance a potato on a toothpick! Wow! Pictures can be found on my podcast by clicking here

Tuesday: Only two more days of class time to work on those Egg-O-Nauts! Students Have been complaining a lot about cardboards cuts and the lack of poster board. If students don't finish their Rockets by Thursday, make sure they finish them over the Sorghum Festival Weekend!

Wednesday: ACT Prep Today. MCHS has bought EVERY junior a license for a $20 ACT preparation program. Each Wednesday students will be practicing with ACT Math and Science with me, and Reading/English with my wife. We can't wait to see the raise in scores from pretest to postest

Thursday: Last Day to Work on Egg-O-Nauts! Lets get those parachutes finished in preparation for launch Monday after Sorghum Festival!
