Laying Down the Rules – Tips for Parents

As a parent you have probably worried that you are no longer the most influential force in your child's life. Teens are facing a host of intense challenges and changes in their lives, and like to act as if they alone can deal with them. But the reality is that teens need (and secretly want) your help and guidance. Surveys of teens show that they want and expect their parents to play a key role in their lives. They appreciate you. They listen. They remember your advice. Even when it seems like they’re not paying attention.

Parents, you are the first line of defense when it comes to your child’s drug use or drinking. And you do make a difference


There are some simple steps you can take to keep track of your child'S activities. Of course, your kids might not like you keeping tabs on where they are and what they are doing. In the end, it's not pestering, it's parenting.
